Diana brought up a great point about today’s post about the designer jelly sandals. She said that for plastic shoes, she thought that knock-offs were justified because paying more wouldn’t get you better quality. (I’m paraphrasing.) Her comment made me wonder…
What do you think is worth splurging on? And what do you think isn’t worth spending money on?
Personally, I buy cheap clothes and splurge on accessories. I think a luxe shoe or bag instantly elevates a plain outfit into a high wattage ensemble. Plus, I swear you can spot cheap leather from a mile away. (The leather issue is definitely an odd personal pet peeve. My sister thinks I’m nuts when I say that.)

For me, my splurge-worthy items are shoes, bags and the perfect dress. Shoes, because I like shoes that will last and won’t hurt my feet, bags, because they get used everyday and I love quality materials, and the perfect dress, because it can be so hard to find. Stuff that isn’t worth spending much on - t-shirts, gym clothes.
for me,the most spending items are shoes and bags and dress (once in a while). I don’t spend that much on clothing because I get bored with them soon ,and you can make your looks elegant by using very nice and good accessories, so I’m pretty careful about my spending on the clothing items.and I completely agree with you “you can spot cheap leather from a mile away”
