Ever get tired of transferring your wallet, favorite lip gloss, phone, keys, metro cards and other daily necessities from one bag to another, depending on your outfit that day? I did so I decided to experiment. I pulled one of my clutch purses from my closet, loaded it with only the essentials I needed (as listed above) and used that as my everyday bag within my work tote or larger bag. Voilà! I’ve cut back on the time it takes to change my bag and transfer my wares from one bag to another in the morning or before I go out at night.
Even though my clutch is in my bigger bag for the majority of the day, it still gets a ton of use if I have to run to a business lunch or go out after work without lugging my bigger bag around.
The trick was finding a clutch for night and day that was a neutral color to go with several of my outfits and a material that could go from work into evening. I have found that nylon is a great fabric as well as metallics or animal prints, especially since both trends will still be relevant this Fall.
My personal favorite clutch is my Prada nylon pleated wristlet clutch. And I absolutely adore all of Lauren Merkin’s clutches, particularly the Tatum clutch in Grey Patent Croc, as shown above. - Melissa

One CommentThe Bag Within the Bag
I have done this for ages! Isn’t it the best? It’s so convenient just to have a small clutch you transfer from bag to bag. Definitely one of the greater ideas I thought of.. and now you have too! love it.
